Friday Evening

Its the final evening before we have to depart this amazing week where we have seen growth and the boys have hopefully had a blast! Before the rest of the blog,  we want to highlight that the: Adult leaders earned the Camp Mountaineer's Scoutmaster award The troop received Baden Powell award for completing 10 various requirements this week.  Neil Biggs received the Morgan Morgan Camp Mountaineer award which is very difficult to acheive.   And keeping us in suspense, David Jung, who shot 24 out of 25 on shotgun winning that range's award! Great job! The boys participated in campwide games and got the loudest applause with their skit at the Closing campfire.  We will leaving as soon as possible tomorrow morning with updates on eta via groupme. ALL Scouts will be showering tonight but be prepared for running them through the car wash when they get home just in case ;). Neil helped officiate the OA ceremony  We got to see a beaver up close! Friday Morning

 Good morning West Virginia and Ohio! It's the LAST day of camp. We survived the ~1hr thunderstorm last night about 230am. Mr. Morris has perfected his dismount from the hammock and detaching it while rushing into his nearby tent without getting wet. Today has a higher humidity (88%) than temperature high (85*) but cloudy so we'll take it! The young men did a great job with the camp flag raising and raised the bar for how it's done.  This morning Mr. Millet went through the merit badge list with each individual scout verifying which ones they attended (including add-ons) and each scout is aware of what they need to do to ensure they get credit for each requirement and badge they've earned. This is where personal responsibility comes into play. Later today includes the campwide games and closing campfire. Along with pre-packing. Mr. Lucal reminded the youth that they have a tendency for their gear to expand in volume and how tight the trailer fit was.  We shall see how t...
